I found this nice, vintage SCM Smith-Corona Galaxie Twelve manual typewriter at a church sale in Michigan. Antique or vintage typewriters are always a great find! And the brighter or more unusual the color, the better! But remember, these old beauties will cost quite a bit to ship. I recommend finding the correct size box and weighing the typewriter in the box before listing it for sale so you know that you’re charging enough for shipping. And make sure to pack it safely!

• A Little History Lesson: Before forming the Smith Premier Typewriter Company with his brothers Wilbert L., Monroe C., and H.W. Smith in 1887, L.C. Smith tried his hand in livestock in New York City and failed, worked as a clerk, established a lumber business in Syracuse, and produced guns after joining with his older brother Leroy and established firearms designer, William H. Baker, to form W.H. Baker & Co. (Source: smithcorona.com)
